The Eightfold Wheel symbolizes the way of right resolve, right view, right speech, right conduct, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness and meditative absorption. Thus with the blessing of the Eightfold Wheel on our side we shall ride the bike and advance into the nomadic world. Through the middle of the Mongolian steppe, we make our way through varied paths and have to cross small watercourses. During your tour you will have a rich experience and knowledge about nomadic lifestyle.
Ulaanbaatar – Amarbayasgalant monastery – Bulgan town – Moilt Ecolodge – Tsetserleg – Kharakhorum – nomad community of Gurvanbulag – Khustai National Park – Ulaanbaatar.
In the morning we will pick you up from your hotel and travel to Amarbayasgalant monastery for 360kms. It is one of the three largest Buddhist centers in Mongolia. Upon arrival at Amarbayasgalant monastery you will gain the all the necessary information from the guide. We will be staying overnight in ger camp. LD
In the morning we will be biking from Amarbayasgalant monastery to paved road for 40kms. Then continue drive to Moilt Eco lodge which will take 300kms to reach. On the way we will be biking through the land road for 30kms. In the evening you will have a special dinner of authentic Mongolian BBQ or Khorkhog. We will also explore around the area to see petroglyphs. Then we will be staying overnight in ger camp. BLD
We will bike along the beautiful mountain valleys cycling and crossing over a mountain pass and several small rivers of during our adventure. On the way we will meet with many nomads and get acquainted with a unique culture. We will be camping in wilderness until the 7th day of adventure. BLD
Today we will reach the Tsetserleg city which is the center of Arkhangai province. After reaching the Tsetserleg city we will visit Zayiin Gegeenii Khiid – Buddhist temple and a museum dedicated to revolution of Mongolia. In the afternoon we will be cycling to Tsenkher hot spring for 45kms. There we will rnjoy the hot spa bath and rest at the camp. We will be staying overnight in ger camp. BLD
We will travel to Kharakhorum city for 120kms. It is the ancient capital of Mongolia where Chinggis Khan established his capital in 1220. In 1235, his son and successor, Ogodei built a palace protected by walls. You will visit the newly built Kharakhorum Museum and the Erdene Zuu monastery which is the largest and first Mongolian Buddhist temple complex built on the ruins of 16th century Kharakhorum city. We will be staying overnight in ger camp. BLD
Today we will travel to Gurvanbulag soum which will take 110kms with total driving time of 4-5 hours. In the afternoon you will ride a horse with the help of experienced guide. During the evening you will attend the lesson of “Shagai”. It’s the game where you use anklebones of sheep to create many different types of game. No doubt you will have fun playing the Shagai game with local nomad people. Experience the Mongolian archery shooting on a target to check your accuracy. You will be staying overnight in Gurvanbulag community ger camp. BLD
In the morning we will visit the nomad family and enjoy their traditional hospitality and learn about their culture. They offer unconventional home-made special dairy products, such as “aaruul” or dried curds, Mongolian salty milk tea or Suutei tsai and so on. You can interact with nomad people and get more knowledge from their nature hugging lifestyle. After visiting the nomad family we will have a short hike to neighboring sand dunes for 5-8kms. For dinner you will taste “Khorkhog” which is the real Mongolian barbeque grilled with hot stones. In the evening we will watch how Mongolian skillful cowboys catch horses by “uurga” or traditional wooden lasso and taming an untamed horse that has never been ridden before. You will be staying overnight in Gurvanbulag community ger camp. BLD
Today we will travel to Khustai National Park for 200kms. The Khustai National Park is encompassing an area of 50.620hectare. It is the habitat of resurrected wild Mongolian horses, popularly known as Takhi or Przewalski’s Horse. We will explore the park to see the Takhi horses in the wilderness. We’ll be staying overnight in ger Camp. BLD
Today you will travel back for 100kms to Ulaanbaatar city. Upon arrival in Ulaanbaatar city we will transfer you to your hotel. End of the service. B
