Location:  65 km to the east from Ulaanbaatar.
Features: Terelj National Park formed in 1993, covers 2,865 sq kilometers. This area is developing tourism since 1960. Terelj National Park mostly consisted of the picturesque place of high cliffs eroded in Mesozoic granite, creating wonderful landscape. There is a turtle shaped rock in the middle of the national park and famous Buddhist meditation temple. The average altitude of this area is 1600m and ideal for hiking, horse riding, rock climbing and rafting.
