Transportation

From 4WD high-speed jeeps to two humped Bactrian camels, from modern buses to traditional yak carts, wherever possible we use alternative transport options to enable you to experience some real adventures in the country of nomads. In the capital city, we often use full size and mini-buses (depending on the group size) and other suitable vehicles, which are made in Japan or Korea. In the countryside, we use 4WD vehicles, most frequently 4×4 Japanese minivans such as Mitsubishi Delica but also Russian minivans and modern SUVs such as Toyota Landcruiser. Jeeps have a capacity of 2-3 passengers with luggage. Minivans have a capacity of 5 people with luggage. All vehicles used in our tours are insured and carefully prepared before each departure. Our drivers are also good mechanics, have many years of experience for driving through unmarked, unpaved bumpy roads in the countryside.

VEHICLES & LAND TRANSPORTATION

Russian minivan

Mainly, we provide 4WD Russian minivans (UAZ 452 type) in our tours traveling in remote countryside. They are the most reliable and powerful cars and suitable for groups with up to 7 parties. Russian vans have a spacious cabin and big trunk which gives an advantage to travel with much luggage. Our drivers are familiar with these vehicles in the case of breakdown.

Jeep

4WD jeeps (Toyota Land Cruiser, Toyota Prado and Mitsubishi Pajero) made in Japan are best suitable vehicles for our clients who want to travel in comfort and with speed. These jeeps perform well for driving through unpaved, bumpy roads in the countryside. But it will be difficult to repair in case of breakdowns in remote areas. 2-3 people fit in a jeep with luggage.

Bus

In the capital city, we provide either big or mini buses which are made in Japan and Korea depending on the group size. For short distance travels out of the Ulaanbaatar we are able to provide also big buses (Hyundai County and Hyundai Asia types), suitable for up to 18 clients.

Japanese minivan

Japanese minivan (Mitsubishi Delica) is one the most used comfortable and speedy vehicles in our tours. Normally it has a capacity of 5 people with luggage. We provide this car for our groups due to its ability to drive over different conditions of roads. This is most suitable car for families with children and elder clients.

The Trans-Mongolian Railway follows an ancient tea road from China to Russia and connects Ulan -Ude, on the Trans -Siberian railway in Russia, with the Chinese city of Jining, by way of Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia. The weekly Trans-Mongolian train departures from Moscow to Beijing on Tuesday night and takes 6 days.  This train crosses Siberia, Mongolia, Gobi Desert and enters China, in total 7620 km.  There is another weekly train from Moscow to Ulaanbaatar on Wednesday night, from Ulaanbaatar to Moscow.
